Why Yoga is good for you?

UNION

Your journey to Yoga starts by understanding some of the fundamentals, starting with pranayama (breathing techniques), alignments and names of postures, the meaning of sound vibration like Om (AUM), and how to find the union of the body, heart, and mind, through a yoga style that works for you. I've listed a couple I teach.

Hatha Yoga

STEADINESS

Hatha is the foundation of all Yoga. The focus of this practice is on holding poses, longer breathing, working on correct alignment of asanas and entering into meditation.

Vinyasa Yoga

FLOW

Based on Hatha Yoga, the focus is on building a sequence of asanas and moving smoothly and faster through a flow that is synched with the breath.

  • Better Sleep

Ashtanga Yoga

EIGHT LIMBS OF YOGA

Classical  yoga, remastering by Panjali Joi in the 1960s which made Yoga famous in the Western World.  Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a physically demanding style of yoga based on sequence of postures each time, gradually progressing through the series, with an outward focus.
